Footprints in yesterday, today!!

Footprints in yesterday, today!!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Under the sun
A memory
My footprints
In the sand.
Crashing waves;
A seashore song
Applaud me
Walking by.
I glance behind
My footprints
Merge as one
Awash! Swept away!
Waves laughing.
The memory of
My footprints
Now yesterday...
In today.

It is all coming out now! So you ARE a beach bum after all?
Nice portrayal of that wonderful sensation of walking barefoot in the shallows.

This is a washout. Really. I've done this thousands of times and it's just like it never even happened. But, those laughing waves - they never go away - they just keep coming.

Hi Andrew. You got me at the footprints in the sand!!!!! That is the most inspirational, romantic, dream weaving, soul cleansing experience in the world!!! I can spend hours!!!! walking at waters edge , creating footprints and watching them wash away!!! I therefore, have fallen in love with this poem and it sweeps to clear first place in my favourites!!!! alf
