Skipped!

Skipped!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

On opening her pages of life, young
She skipped many pages, too fast
Now with feeble fingers, trembling
Old and grey, time past
She struggles to turn
The page, her time lost.

You hit the nail on the head with this write. It seems like yesterday I was a kid, outside playing after dark with the neighborhood kids. Now many of them are gone, others like me are dying their hair to hide advancing age that creeps up no matter how hard we might try to stop it. Loved this write. Valentine
