Lost! Mission Impossible!

Lost! Mission Impossible!

A Poem by andrew mitchell
"

I never learn to write things down!

"
Wanted!
Reward!
To poetic sentences
Last night vanished;
Back deep into
My subconsciousness.
I was suppose to write them down
Over and over I recited them
I told myself I would not forget.
I did. They didn't wait till morning.
They moved back
Deep somewhere, runaways.
I've sent out a search party
Of thoughts, but no clues
Are given on their whereabouts.
Distressed am I.
They were two masterpieces
That don't come along often.
I only remember
"the........... is..................full stop!
Situation hopeless, can't wait to go to sleep
To find them. All dendrites and axons are on high alert!
To rogue thoughts are on the run.
Proceed with caution.
They need to be caught
And put on paper!

This tape will self destruct in 15 seconds!

brilliant Andrew because you described my failure so completely, how many poems have i lost to laziness, not grabbing a pen at that moment, the old I'll do it later idea, except of course by then it's gone lol :)
