Solitude.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Solitude lies
in the meadows full,
hearing the sounds of empty.

Yes, it does indeed!

I agree with Ken. Solitude is wonderful when one truly needs it, but it becomes despairing when it crosses the boundary into loneliness.

And as you have written very astutely, there really is nothing better than being alone in a flushing meadow, in deep contemplation and listening to the sounds of silence.

Wisdom for the masses, Andrew. Well Done.

"The sounds of empty"-yes! I love this poem so much. It speaks to me. Go out into nature and just listen, contemplate and cleanse.....Great!

Solitude is good. Loneliness is not.
Depends what the sounds are empty of.
This is full of wisdom.
