A sea of sadness swells.

A sea of sadness swells.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

The saddest pirate for all to see
shipwrecked by his misery
his sorrow sails on clouds of tears
treasured sadness drowns on ocean fears.

A beaten face traces a weathered map
as the ravages of time close that gap.
no longer the boy that held such joy
a ghostly pirate screams ahoy!

Honest and true words written my friend. It is sad we become old. When the mind and heart learn sadness and disappointment. Thank you Andrew for sharing the amazing poetry.

You are welcome my friend.
A wonderful analogy with the pirate's sadness and the sea swelling. We are all on board with you , sir Andrew.
