Scanning over winter's solstice.

Scanning over winter's solstice.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

There's a hush
 over the rainbow
a prism of colours
in the night- fantastic!

Snowflakes reflecting
a star speckled night,
a snowman watches
melting in thought
losing his carrot.

Where impressions walk out
into the wilderness
disappear in white
a cold wind whispers

through the chameleons
of shadows ever changing
as light encompasses them,
bowing to authority
the darkness follows.

Meanwhile,
the focus in question
was orange, pointed,
lying buried in a moment.
