Oh, no! With sadness, you depart. With anticipation, we impart. The king of wits and humor is on vacation but will return in full force of his majesty. The throne is most precious when challenged by others and reality. Please rest, take a deep breath, meditation then drop in from time to time. I take a break sometimes but the passion never wanes. Long live the king!

dear Andrew... taking a Sabbatical would be better. That would give you days
to gather your thoughts.... and violets for your dreams.
Even an artist or sculptor needs to pause and walk along the shore and

On a Saturday about that time we will have a high school 70 year reunion in Maryland, having graduated in 1958. Some have passed. This may be our last reunion for some... “until we meet on that beautiful shore”. My “claim to fame” is “I am a Poet”. My work is Copyright with a Circle ⭕️ around it. Have you ever read the book, “The Littlest Angel”? It would be lovely to write a sequel, “The Littlest Poet” about a little child who went to heaven way too soon... and missed his Box of poems that he had written. It was under his bed. The seraphims and cheraphins elected an Angel to fly down to earth to retrieve the Box, in order for the littlest angel to be happy once more. In the first Book, the littlest angel missed his Box with a rock from a mountain he climbed along with a butterfly wing he found and other treasures he cherished.
On my tombstone I want Poet to be chiseled, along with Mother and Sweetheart. Someday we will be only Artists moving clouds around to form sculptures in the sky. See you soon on earth’s WC or in the Sky. truly, Pat
:) come back soon and publish some more amazing poems..

Thanks Galadriel and I have done the devil interview in Another BBC exclusive..
It might be just a lack of inspiration or the lack of generosity that has pervaded this site of late; some people demand to be read and reviewed without ever feeling the need to read and review others themselves. All up it contributes to general disallusionment.
Perhaps the old battery just needs a recharge. Whatever you choose, just know that here is a reader who appreciates your work and who is grateful that you passed judgements on his own.
Happy Easter, Andrew.

Mine was more off the cuff usually in one take and very rarely worked on and maybe my topics put people off too lol. Anyway not closing this site i have all my work here to copy to a folder yet. But A pleasure its been, although the site has many new faces I've lost too many friends here.Yes I have 500 reviews Doodley and nearly all by poets who never review my work lol Yes one way traffic indeed. Take care, Andrew.

Writing poetry with wit and humour is amongst the hardest things to achieve, and you do that consistently and in abundance. More than once I have turned to your works on a day of dark moods for a laugh and a smile and you pretty always delivered. No doubt with your extensive body of work it will take at least three years to copy them all to folder!!
Either way, I agree with you. Too many friends have been lost and it is the friendship as much as the writing and comments that keeps us coming back.
I wish you all the best with your future plans. Just don't take up ball tampering! There is no future in that!!

haha what a dilemma that is Doodley. I'm glad aussie rules has started.
Please come back soon, after a rest replenished with new vigor. Your poems are a sheer delight to read, and to laugh out loud.
Do not keep us waiting too long for your writing.
