From bread, a toast!

From bread, a toast!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Have you reached your verdict?
Yes your Honour!
On the account of portraying
to be so fresh when stale,
what have you all deliberated?
Guilty! Your Honour!
Will the defendant please rise!
You, Wholegrain have been found guilty.
You will be sentenced to burn
as Toast on a pre-determined setting!
May you burn, till you are edible!
All breads rise!
Case dismissed!

Thank you Stella.
Ha, you are so funny Andrew. I have just burnt my toasted tea cake to a crisp: ) That was fresh, but is now fit for nothing. Even the birds will turn their noses away.

Belated thanks Chris.
Very witty indeed :) I like how you took an everyday inanimate object such as Bread and put it on trial xD everyone has reached dreary eyed into the bread bin to find their loaf has begun to turn...I wonder how long a sentence the piece of bread would have received had it been mouldy? aha very good :)
