deep down.

deep down.

A Poem by amanda gott

Deep down I know you’re hurting,
deep down I feel your pain.
Deep down I know you’re worried,
things will never be the same.

Deep down you’re scared and lonely,
and you just need a friend.
Deep down I hope you realize,
that I’ll be here ‘till the end.

Deep down I’m reaching out for you,
cause I just want to keep you safe.
Deep down I’ll fight for you,
without you - life wouldn’t be the same.

Deep down I know it’s hard,
life is never really easy.
Deep down I want to help you,
with all pain that you are feeling.

Deep down I am confident,
that I will always have you in my life.
Deep down I truly believe,
that you will make it through this strife.

Deep down you deserve to smile,
at the end of each day.
Deep down I hope you know,
that in the end every thing will be okay.

Deep down I hope you’re listening,
and that you always stick around.
I’ll always be here to help you,
with everything you’re hiding deep down.

Its a rhyming poem, a rarity these days. That alone makes it a cut above the ordinary. What i liked is that you have used the repetition effectively. Another thing, the sentiment behind the poem is very strong. Its a lovely thought! The one thing i would like to suggest is that you indicate who is the narrator. I mean, is it a friend, a lover, a sister or a daughter? With that addition, the meaning of the poem would be further enhanced.
So, Deep down, i wish you a great success in poetry, and wish to read more and more of your work!
