Where are You Now?

Where are You Now?

A Poem by Amanda J. S.
"

A poem dedicated to an old friend....

"

Where are you now?

You said you would be there for me

Always.

You called me your best friend

And I called you mine.

We weren't romantically involved

Even though people might have thought so.

I saw you as the brother I never had

But what did that really mean to you?

When things got tough,

As it normally does for "different" people like me

You weren't there for me anymore.

When I turned out not to be as normal as you thought,

We drifted apart like ice flakes on heating water.

My friend,

I miss the times with you

But I wouldn't take them back

For anything in the world.

Sincerely,

Amanda J. S.

Wow, totally relatable I have friend just like that. Only you're lucky, you get to live off good memories you too share where I grimace at what happened to my friend. :| Lovely poem, wonderul as always! :)

A very nice poem of friendship. Hard to lose a good friend. We will trust few with our laughter and our tears. I like the desire to have the good friend back in a life. Thank you for sharing the excellent poem.

Thank you, Amanda! ^^
indeed great Amanda i like the message but am kind of struggling with your style, spicing it i would say; Not romantically we were involved,
thought inlove we not, people believed -
I saw you as a brother, I never had
thought you felt anything we had,
what did it mean to you ?
please don't be offended in just liked stanza 2 thats why i spiced it

It's an all too long story... :-)
It is said that when one door closes another opens. Shall we not, in our secret hearts, have hope that it shall be so for these two that were once so close? You are a tender write, Amanda, and the world is better for it.
