A song about accepting the fact that we are not perfect and that we are entitled to make our own mistakes and learn from them.

I had to live my life, like other people wanted, put my desires aside, living broken hearted, abiding the law, pretending that i'm fine, be careful now, don't walk out of the line, always watching what to do, always watching what to say, watch out don't argue, it's getting harder everyday, i should always be kind, say "please if you don't mind" , huh it's like a prison in my own mind, and now all i need is to find, the part of me that i left behind, the part where i'm free, free to do something wrong, free to go crazy, free to sing along, free from all commitment, free to be living free, free of not being perfect, just free to be me.

Hi Amanda I can really relate to your words. It's how I was brought up too. they tried to control me. Then I met my lovely and I fled with her to Australia. joined the army and became my own man. I really enjoyed your poem, my friend wonderful it is....Peter

So the two poems I reviewed motivated me to read this song. I know very little about song writing and even less about rap. However, words do create a mental image and your song did exactly that. I actually heard the music in your chorus. Don't be afraid to be you and say what you really want to say in ways that it has never been said.

You don't know how much it means to me that you read my work and you were motivated to read more :) it means even more that they meant something to you and you got the message that i'm trying to say through my words. It's hard not to be afraid but i'm trying to do and say what i want to inspite of that.
