Sad Little Girl

Sad Little Girl

A Poem by Rebecca
"

A song.

"
Quiet girl, loud dreams
Small circle, big heart
Nobody can hear her screams
She's left all alone in the dark

Up in her room trying to deal with the pain
Nobody knows about her secret blade
She fakes a smile as her mom passes by
And then she looks up at the night sky

She yells; "God, why can't you just take me away?
My scars keep coming and none are fading"
She closes her eyes as a tear runs down her cheek
Never in her life has she felt so weak

But what the sad little girl just doesn't know
Is that she's stronger than she'll she ever show
She's a star in the sky shining so bright
She's a compass in the woods when you've lost your way

The long sleeves cover her battle scars
But the pain she has takes over her heart
Her parent don't know their little girl is dead
Her friends don't notice she's scared to leave her bed

Taunted by the demons and haunted by her past
She isn't sure how long she can last
The world won't stop breaking her down
She's so convinced she doesn't deserve the crown

But what the sad little girl just doesn't know
Is that she's stronger than she'll ever show
She's a star in the sky shining so bright
She's a compass in the woods when you've lost your way

Nobody can seem to shake her
And nobody can make her feel better
She's worn out and completely dead inside
Can't she see she's the reason I'm alive?
