Spring Sadness

seasonal affective disorder does not just happen in the winter time

when the flowers are blooming
and the sun comes out shining
my minds feeling gloomy
and my happiness is dying

such a backwards story
for i should be smiling
full of life and much glory
but i just feel like crying

dark clouds over my head
while there’s no clouds in the sky
i lay in my bed
and i try not to cry

there’s beauty in nature i cannot deny
but to say i am happy would be a lie
this shouldn’t be such a big bummer
but my happiness comes once it turns summer
