A Chapter by Amber
"

Okay I havent written in this for months so I quickly wrote another chapter. I'm just making this up as go along so sorry if it sucks. Thank you for reading and reviewing! I'm so grateful! :)

"

We walk in silence while each of us stealing glances at the other. I let Eric walk ahead although he doesn't know where we are going. I've been careful not to tell him any details about my situation. I can't be sure if I can trust him. I think back to when we appeared at the cottage. What was Eric doing there in the first place? It was quite a distance from town so I don't see what his business was in the woods. Maybe he's working for 'him'.

Thethought makes me stop dead in my tracks. I glance at Eric and immediately I'm scanning his body for weaknesses. I can see from the way he's walking he has a weak right knee cap and the oil on his jacket means he must be a mechanic. I mentally kick myself for being so naive earlier and allowing Eric to come with me. I can't be so gullable anymore, I've become a part of a dangerous game and I can't afford to lose. I shake my head to dissolve my wandering thoughts and look at Eric again who has finally realised i'm not behind him and is making his way back. He doesn't seem like an immediate threat or that he could do any physical damage but I musn't take my chances.

"Hey!" Eric calls while stopping in front of me, "What's going on?"

"Nothing, so what's your last name?" I say quickly. He looks at me questioningly but I keep my face expressionless.

"Turner. Is that what was so important to stop?"

   "I haven't seen you before."

"So? Baggin is a big city."

   "We've never met?"

   "Nope we haven't."

"So how do you know who I am then?"

He hesitates. That's all I need.

Immediately I pounce back and whip out the black gun from the back of my jeans. I point it towards Eric. He staggers backwards as if he has been hit and puts his arms up in surrender.

"Who are you?" My voice is deep and demanding.

  "I already to-"

  "Spare me the bullshit!"

He sighs and then stands uo straight.

"Okay. There is no reason to freak out here. I'm on your side. Remember that."

I look at him in confusion and suddenly he leaps towards me. There's a sharp pain in my arm and the next thing I know I fall into his arms drifting into unconsciousness.
