What If?

What If?

A Poem by Amber Bergeron
"

Sorry if its too prejudiced for you, but its my opinion.

"

WHAT IF THE WORLD WAS IN BLACK AND WHITE, SO COLORS DID NOT MATTER?

WHAT IF EVERYONE LOOKED THE SAME, SO ONE PERSON COULD NOT FLATTER?

WHAT IF RELIGION WAS NOT KNOWN, AND EVERYONE THOUGHT FOR THEMSELVES?

WITHOUT ALWAYS HAVING TO WORRY, ABOUT GOING TO HEAVEN OR HELL.

WHAT IF STEREOTYPES DID NOT EXIST, SO NOBODY COULD BE JUDGED?

AND HATRED WAS AN UNDEFINED WORD, SO NO ONE COULD HOLD A GRUDGE?

WHAT IF BAD WORDS DID NOT EXIST, SO SPEAKING WAS NOT PROFANE?

WHAT IF EVERYONE LOVED EACHOTHER, SO NO ONE WAS DRIVEN INSANE?

WHAT IF IRONY HAD NOT BEEN FOUND, SO NO ONE COULD GET INSULTED?

WHAT IF NO ONE CREATED THE LAW, SO THE POLICE NEED NOT BE CONSULTED?

WHAT IF WE LIVED IN A PERFECT WORLD, WHERE SUGAR-PLUM FAIRIES DANCED?

WHAT IF WHAT HAPPENED IN SOME MOVIES WAS REAL? BUT IT ISN'T, THERES NOT A CHANCE..

A.B.
