dark side of love's third moon

inspired by Jacob, I just had a chance to jot it down

He divorced the sun
and I divorced the dark side of
love's third moon --

After a lifetime of low tide
he says I spoke too soon --

There is nothing left to save,
and it is way past high noon.

The sun rises without compunction,
and it's just another day there
on the dark side of the moon.

when its over its over ...especially like your third verse and couplet ..the language reminds me of my dad and his love of old western story writers ...they were straight shooters ...like this poem ..leaves no doubt .. such a melancholy sad closing tho ...the optimist in me wants the sun to shine there ;)

Thank you. I appreciate it. Yes, in this reorganisation a lot of these are now gathered in one spot. Therefore, a person can read them, or opt for something else that is more to their liking. At least, that is my hope when this task is completed.
