filing cabinet

filing cabinet

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

the crap that fills my head

"
I don't know about
beautiful,
but my mind is
sure full of clutter,
right next to the fact
about the high fat content
of French pastry butter
is a resident named
Trychophyton
Mentagrophytes, a species
of ring worm if you please,
he sits down to tea with Rhyzomes
and Chromosomes of fruit flies
from grade nine biology!
All the shelves are stacked
packed tight
with numbers and dates --
people that are dead
and people I hate --
I even know what kind of food
they ate!
And as if that wasn't enough
to make my filing tough,
I have to sort out all the
bull s**t you keep feeding me!

Don't ask me why I remember all this stuff or how it stays so long -- the pic is a googled pic of trichophyton mentagrophytes

Hahaha! This was powerful. I could feel your pent up angst and frustrations pouring into this piece. Raw emotion here and straight to the point. Fantastic, KL! xo :)

I really like this. It has a prose feel to it. It has the feeling that was written because it had to be written.

Ha ha ! now we have two cute things?
This is so nice and sarcastic. It drips with those bugs that get us in the end.

I like the very subtle rhythm and the rhyme scheme which pulls it all together into a tight embrace.

Love the poem. I can see you are bursting with talent and grace and intense observation of thinsg we often miss when looking around. Great talent here. Love it.

You really need to get out Sister. You think writing about mentagrophytes aphrodites, or whatever...lol That kind of talk just isn't sexy. Didn't your mother teach you anything about how to be a lady? How to be desirable and sexy or at least how to be a s**t? ;)

Thanks, I thought it was pretty funny myself ...
I think the last part is my favorite. I enjoyed reading this mostly because my head does something similar, usually when I'm trying to fall asleep. The things I remember aren't nearly so intelligent (unless it happens to be the night before a test), however.
