Off with his head!

Off with his head!

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

oh, just a little jest

"
vain is the jester
all he wants is the crown
incidents of treachery
liars and leches abound
lose tongues licking their lips
awaiting the death of the king
never suspecting a thing
courtesy eludes him
observation is his foe
unreality will be discovered
resting comfortably for now
till his guilt be found.

I love suggestions of the middle ages, and this one is very appropriate and well done. Nice verses, KLG!

Thanks, I did enjoy writing this piece.
Somebody may have been either watching or reading too much Game of Thrones, with all this talk of regicide. Treason, treachery, and trouble in the kingdom.
An interesting write, well done.

Not sure if the jester you speak of feels any guilt for the mindless repeating of propaganda that strokes his self indulgent ego.

Great poem :)

Looks like there's no hiding place for the King ?

A subjective piece of poetry, whimsically penned to alluring effect!

I think I know this person. The problem is, even when the guilt is proven they still won't see it. I really enjoyed this one KLGoode.
