Brick a brack

Brick a brack

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

a challenge from Momzilla to describe bricks.

"
clay
packed
with mud
and straw,
memories
of building
a home.
-----------
             rough and red,
             hard edges,
             fit together,
             painstakingly
             mortared by
             working hands,
             remind me of you.
            ---------------------------
     rectangular arrangements of
     ruddy brown earth,
     stuffed in between
     the spaces geometrically
     fashioned to surround
     my heart.
