in the harsh light of day

in the harsh light of day

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

a thought or two

"
In the harsh light of day
we met --

secrets bared in stolen moments
nothing left to hide,
no where left to run.

I was lost and I didn't want to be found
I just wanted to be held
close and tight --

I just wanted to feel
something, anything ...
other than what I was feeling then.

and you took me

twisted and wrapped and wriggled
your way into my broken heart
mended me from the inside out

In the harsh light of day
we love --
                but can we be?

We can be. If we let ourselves, we can be. We can overcome anything, heal from anything. So yes, we can be. I love this piece.

You are very welcome.
bittersweet is someone who can wiggle their way into our broken hearts because then we start to believe and feel, but then comes the overwhelming fear and doubt... which sometimes is more torture than the loneliness... beautifully expressed here girl....

Different, endearing melancholy. I think I would have to put the writing to one side and the reality in the writing to the other as the writing excels becuase the feeling of you guys not been able to get together. There is something attractive love stories gone wrong. As the confession is that you want but there is something that is not possible.

To be or not to be hey such an old question

Thankyou

Painfully beautiful...it sounds like someone that does not want to fall in love for fear of being hurt...I can understand where that comes from...you've got us all pondering with the closing question...I'll be thinking about it for a while...

Thanks, that was, of course, the idea, and I am glad it worked.:)
If you can do all that without illusions or pretenses, you can be.....but nothing worth having ever comes easily....no pun intended! :) Lydi*

This is a very emotive piece. I felt the harshness that reality or a new day can bring in your words.

What a lovely way of expressing that healing that comes from opening our hearts to new love. It really is the only way to get over a bad relationship. "The best revenge is living well."
