A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

a funny memory of my Grandma on what would have been 106th birthday

"
I wasn't very old,
eleven maybe,
sipping sweet hot tea
and eating macaroni
at your kitchen table,
loving your smell,
watching you,
combing the obits.

It was just your thing.
you'd circle some names,
comment softly,
sometimes you would laugh.

I never knew it then,
but I am pretty sure my
sense of morbid,
came from you.

This is a wonderful memorial to her, K...very nice. I'm really glad you shared the music she liked. It brings a smile to my face this morning. You can tell a lot about a person by the music they listen to and dance. Thank you.

.....you are welcome...:)
I know it is going to be a good day when I look in the obits and don"t see my name there. When I left school, I began working in a bank, the first thing I learned was to scan those, looking for customers that had passed away, and pass that info on to the manager. I can only assume it was to protect assets against scammers, but I never did find out why I had to do it.
