Mornings like this

Mornings like this

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

just some thoughts is all

"

mornings like this

you hold me
and I can almost
pretend
the game we
play
isn't in the
way.

your kiss
tells me
there is more
to this
than you say
and less than you
do.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

lean into me

let it
take you
leave you
breathless
if only for
that moment
surrender
what you
have
leave
it

there.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

the road unexpected

he imagines
he understands
what drove me away.

if the road
to hell is paved
with good intentions,

the road to
something better
was paved with his own lies.

he is the one
who laid down the path
away from him

straight
into
you.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

in the afters I
thank you for giving me
those moments
that are hard for
you to give.

Some people have problems expressing their feelings, especially when it comes to love, something I never understood cause I am open with mine.

I love how each poem is a piece of the puzzle that brings all the feeling together.

Yes, well, sometimes when people have been hurt enough times they have a hard time fessing up.:)

I get that.. though I have been hurt more times then I can count but still give myself freely.

Aw thanks John for your support.
I think it is significant to point out that his mistakes have impacted you in more ways imaginable and that although not easy you can build a place in the future where you can dictate your own mistakes and at least feel the certainty that you were fully responsible for them as it is that seems a moment in the future...

I would suggest boxing but I already know that you are an avid runner so burn it all !

Thankyou

Ok I take back the suggestion then..... I did one Yoga session I nearly had to take time off work.
Glad you took" the road to something better." You have told your story well here. The kiss.....if it is not real, you can tell and you can read into it. KL, this is very good. Lydi**

I take that as a real compliment, coming from such a wonderful writer as yourself.
"he laid down the path away from him"
and he will regret doing that someday...but you will be on a different road....one to contentment...
