Your hands

Your hands

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

Inspired by conversations with Ana Sophia, among other things ...

"
Your hands,
are nothing like
the ones that
came before.

Your hard,
is not one
from the in,
but from the out.

You are a man,
born of earth
and dirt and
work and pain.

Maybe that is
what I need,
to teach me
to love again.

They are hard to find and hard to come by if we aren't looking in all the right places. I love this line

You are a man,
born of earth
and dirt and
work and pain.

It's something about people who have been exposed to hard life make's them treasure the most important. Well expressed KLGoode :)

Being familiar with your journey, this has an especially poignant depth for me. I love the way you use "hands" to symbolize the way we often measure a man by what he does with (or how he uses) his hands. Stanza 2 is a brilliant life observation stated in an eye-popping way . . . one of your most stand-out word craftings that I've read lately. Here's hoping you & yours are cruising into a smooth 2019! Very rugged and serene at the same time, enjoyed reading this. I didn't understand the 'your hard' part, did you mean you're hard?

No, I meant your hard, as is the hardness projected on the outside is not the truth of the inside.

I miss you too cat .I'll be back when I can too :)
Beautiful poem with beautiful and heartfelt sentiment.

'Your hard is not one from the in, but from the out.' So true that what lies beneath is what really matters.

What a lovely poem illustrating the treasure of a solid, hardworking, and dedicated man. Isn't that what we're all looking for? Great song you've included too!

Thanks so much. I appreciate your stopping in.
Very good use of words. You said a lot in so few sentences. We need people strong enough to make us stronger. I like the tone and the need in the outstanding poem my friend.
