Your hands

Your hands

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

Inspired by conversations with Ana Sophia, among other things ...

"
Your hands,
are nothing like
the ones that
came before.

Your hard,
is not one
from the in,
but from the out.

You are a man,
born of earth
and dirt and
work and pain.

Maybe that is
what I need,
to teach me
to love again.

They are hard to find and hard to come by if we aren't looking in all the right places. I love this line

You are a man,
born of earth
and dirt and
work and pain.

It's something about people who have been exposed to hard life make's them treasure the most important. Well expressed KLGoode :)

Sometimes, we need a different touch to revive age old emotions that lie dormant within us. The poem made much impact...

Thank you for reading and reviewing.
Sometimes the opposite is just what is needed! Simple and wise words my friend.

Thank you for your extended visit.
KL, there are things, a man can do, but, in all honesty, sometimes, a woman's touch is, the only thing needed, for the job. Of course, may be, a tad basis, being a lesbian. ;P

I think the closest I can come to explaining is that I don't want what I had, but I still want a man.. read more

Thank you for stopping in.
That was sweet sometimes we find what we need is not what we wished for. It is possible to not really know what is best for ourselves.

Thank you for reading and commenting.
we become cynical and broken from all the pain of broken relationships...sometimes two broken people can become healed by the understanding they share...they find out trust can happen again...
the hard life makes us wiser, but also so much more skeptical and alert.

Yes, I know you understand.
Good one, and I caught the intention of hard the first read!

Well, I thought it was rather straight forward, but I guess, to some it looks like a glitch or a jok.. read more

Thank you so much. I appreciate it.
You need the opposite of what you had...totally! I think you might want to change "hard" to "hand"in the second stanza...though it did make me smile! LOL Good write. Lydi**

No, the hard is intentional. As in, the hardness on the outside does not match the inside.

And yes, a little intentional double entendre as well. :)
