your door.

tethered --

my heart
was bound
to the
ghostly ribbon
of my
unsettled past.

your kiss.

terrified --

I swallowed
the rush
of what was missing
before I
fell upon
your lovely lips.

released.

Very nicely done, the ribbon of unsettled past...
That's such a perfect line that I totally get.
A nice ending. :) always fun to fall upon the lips of someone special.

Wow! Superbly done! There is a beautiful tension in this poem that settles into an uplifting and lovely ending. Just don't know what else to say but "Bravo"!

Well done hon... oh how we can lose all our sensibility when we get lost in the passion of another.

A lovely combination and outcome regarding the word challenge. A kiss changes everything some people might say. This poem provides a thoughtful but also comforting mood at the same time. A very well-written piece.

we hold back because of previous pain, but a kiss can unlock those tightly shut feelings, in an instant.

Thank you very much. I like to stretch myself every once in a while by conforming to a contest.
