the obstinate moon

the obstinate moon

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

a little ditty

"
the obstinate moon
rests in sky so blue
can't help it baby,
it reminds of you --
smiling smugly
at the rising sun
attempting to
push through
the morning pink --

and wishing
you were here
with me
to chase
away
the day.

Aww you're sweet thanks
i like that idea of chasing away the day---
especially if it is with someone we love...we run together in our heart.

not a problem
There is something special about the 'obstinate moon' , as though she just doesn't want to give way to the rising sun. In the end the moon relents and bides her time for a few hours until she can return.Well done, Lyn.

Thank you. I think so too.
dear Lyn... I have often seen the obstinate Moon in the morning... now I can relate in a poetic way ... it may be an Omen that it is a special day when you have guidance .. like a veil to shield you from the sun that burns. truly, Pat

What a lovely review. Thanks
love your closing ...let that obstinate moon win ..chase the day away ... just to be with "....you...." ;) smooth flowing word painting ... the emotion comfortable and the desire so relatable .. sometimes that moon hangs in there well into afternoon ... a thin veil ... but very present ... "The Obstinate Moon" will stay with me Lyn ..thanks for sharing

I made many wishes to the moon. A wonderful story in the poetry. I believe many of us had talks to the moon. Thank you Lyn for sharing the amazing poetry.
