Love is to let go (Tanka)

Love is to let go (Tanka)

A Poem by Imperfection
"

Love is to let another person be happy, even if that means being away from him. It takes an impossible amount of strength to walk away from your love. I'm still struggling to find that kind of strength.

"

Can you let go if

You know that his happiness

Lies not with you, but

Away from your stormy life

On another distant shore?

Yes, I agree...it takes a hell lot of amount of strength to walk away from your love and in this world there in nothing more sad than that!
But, this is so true...Love is not at all only about being love, Sacrifice is also a part of giving love..

The worst feel in this world in not to see the one whom you love happy with someone else, but...to see the one whom you love sad with you...

simple, yet very powerful. It is always hard for us to admit that the one we love just might be better off with someone else. I am a firm believer that it is possible for two people to love each other yet they are unable to be together. just remember if he returns it was meant to be! good luck in my contest

This is a beautiful piece. And you are right, to let something you love go takes great strength. I wish you all the best.

It is not easy to answer this question like V. K. Harris said. However it is already answered by this rhetorical question. So I think I/ we dont need to answer. What an excellent question!

Not easy to answer, it's always hard to let go, but why do it if he's right there awaiting words. Well written.

Good question. Would a baby be better of with another parent ? There's almost a a self inflicted pain in that question. Rain..

Yes, Caffeine, that is love. Rain said it well; the ultimate gift of love. Great job.

Wow..
When you stop and think of it, and I read it several times. It is the ultimate gift of love. To make him happy by setting him free for you to suffer. That's love. Rain
