Bully?

Bully?

A Story by anamateur
"

An episode from my childhood.

"

There i was, laughing along with my few friends, stressing over home work,
being myself and living my life until....

I heard a guy call out my name.
I turned around and saw him and a bunch of his friends
all of their concentration directed solely towards me.

They started calling out my full huge name and laughing aloud,
as if it were the the most amusing thing they have ever come across.
They did that until something else diverted their attention,
someone weaker and more helpless i guess.

All along this show, i have remained quiet staring down at the floor.
Don't they ever think i had feelings too?

A year later i grew up,not only physically but as a person
and a whole new year started, meaning fresh starts.

I was standing in the same place when i heard them call out my name. Again.
I turned around to see them repeating the same show of calling out my name
their faces full of glee but then,

I laughed along.

Yes, i laughed at my own name.
At first they were a bit shocked
but then we all started laughing along
lightening the tension between us.
And maybe that was when they realized
what they were doing.

Now, after all these years we still happen to be friends
me and the guy who made fun of me.
We laugh about it at times.

ALL i did was laugh along and
my life turned out the way i never thought it would.
