First weeks, new challenges, old foes

First weeks, new challenges, old foes

A Poem by ashkat

Tired
Tired like you earned it, like you learned it
Pushing yourself gently
Hearing your parent's voice
Letting yourself sit and rest
But standing up straight away as the excitement, like sugarcane through your veins
Rains energy down upon you.

Seize that day
Seize that hour
Rest only when in repose
Seize that adventure
See the unknown
Seize that too. It belongs to you.

Don't let go
Until it hurts
Until it burns
Until the lesson is learned.
