I Awake to Sleep (I Sleep to Dream)

This is a short poem of what I hope is meaningful poetry, at least to some other than myself'. The punctuation matters specifically in this poetic 'Quick-Rhyme' of wishful dreaming during good sleep.

I Awake to Sleep 

-- I Sleep to Dream --

I don't sleep to wake up,

I wake up so that I can go back to sleep.

It used to be different but as a Pisces

I really want reality to leave,

so that I can lie alone in bed and just be.

Dead to the World as I dream,

living in my head where Life is only as real

as my imagination can make it seem.....

The punctuation matters specifically in this poem (mostly it does not in past poems.) and other than that, I feel it falls under the category of my catch-all Latin phrase I stole from Hunter S. Thompson, who likely stole it from some other great writer:

Truly, this poem reminds me of the Talosians from Star Trek who lived in a world of illusions. Here is a passage:

MAGISTRATE: No other specimen has shown your adaptability. You were our last hope.
CAPTAIN PIKE: But wouldn't some form of trade, mutual co-operation ?
MAGISTRATE: Your race would learn our power of illusion and destroy itself too.

Dreams have their place in our society, Andrew, but I would never want them to replace it ...
