Spring Sunshine

Spring Sunshine

A Poem by Angel

The aroma of my coffee is mixing with the sweetness of early morning,

As a splash of spring sunshine breathes life into my drowsy dwelling.

My heart requires positioning itself in the shadow of daylight to observe,

While the season is awakening my earthly hunger for great discovery.

Forgotten colors of weathered splendor begin laughing with pleasure,

As my winter stained lips devise a plan to kiss the shy spring horizon.

The atmosphere transforms into a fire with coolness to replace burning,

While the breathing of a beaming sun sustains the perfect temperature.

The rushing of my dazed senses causes every wild thought to amplify,

As elegant features of spring sunshine glide over the flesh of the Earth.

Fresh nectar dribbles readily from the ancient fruits of untamed nature,

While my unclipped daydreams hang like pink primrose’s from the sky.
