Love Forbidden

Love Forbidden

A Poem by Victoria Scott

Deity oh deity! Come into my chambers

Call me by name and know who I am

Welcome the sound of my whispering prayers

Wash the door to my house with the blood of your lamb

I know not his name

I know not what he did

Am I to stay what I became

Heaven forbid, heaven forbid

Take my hand and let us walk together

You and I

Hold me in your arms forever

Oh diety don’t walk away

Fill me with your eternal peace

and I will never betray your love

but lo! I will

for eternal bonds fulfill

the prophesy made of long ago

that he will die for all man’s will, a sinful will

and no one shall stand perfect

but only by him and his blood shall stand

so fill me with your spirit oh deity!

And I shall strive to be at the best of my ability

Your humble servant…me.
