LIVERPOOL RAMBLE, PART THREE--THE RHYME

LIVERPOOL RAMBLE, PART THREE--THE RHYME

A Poem by angel
"

Yet another dip in the 'Pool; this time in verse, I hope it's not worse...

"
I find myself in PENNY LANE,
Alone in a downpouring RAIN;
Still in all, I FEEL FINE,
Knowing that YOU'LL BE MINE
THIS BOY hopes that YOU KNOW MY NAME.

I'm remembering, friend, THERE'S A PLACE
Where I told you I'VE JUST SEEN A FACE;
YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO,
BECAUSE, BABY IT'S YOU,
And SOME OTHER GUY, (just in case).

SEXY SADIE, TELL ME WHAT YOU SEE;
GIRL, SO HOW COME (NO ONE LOVES ME);
THE FOOL ON THE HILL
(Keeping perfectly still)
Will SHOUT, "GET BACK! And,"DON'T BOTHER ME!"

IF I FELL, I would CRY,BABY CRY,
And, I hope, you would please TELL ME WHY
Is it YOU WON'T SEE ME?
I guess I'll LET IT BE;
For, OH, DARLING! You give NO REPLY...

A wonderful poem. I like those jukebox songs. Also. I love the book "The world according to Garp". I read in 1979. Made me laugh out-loud. Thank you angel for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.

I was lost but now I'm found..
It is such a treat to be reminded of all these fabulous songs angel. Takes me way back to when I was a teen and in my early twenties. Get Back one of my favourites, but everything they ever did was good. Once again you have produced a magical poem based on one of my favourite all time groups. Well done you.
