Trapped Souls

when it comes knocking
the world seems to freeze;
and all my thoughts go abroad,
it will draw strength to pull apart my heart
like a game of tug o war
the dark blue waves hit
and then it engulfed me like a blanket, covering all my dreams
i want to cry out for help
but i can't speak
its like my mouth is silenced with glue
why is it doing this to me?
i just want to live not be held back by this powerful weapon
you may be wondering who it is
its the demon inside of my soul
and it will never go away completely
im sick of running away from it
because it always finds me no matter how far i roam
ill never be set free
because being trapped is the essence of life

Yes, one's life is full of decisions and what informs our decisions and how we arrive at them is a key issue-i sometimes wonder if seeking rather than being trapped is th essence of life, anyway this is fine thought provoking writing
