Fabricated Society

A Poem by Carly

I am so tired of the games you all play

When will something go my way?

You're all just faces that mean nothing now

I’d erase you all if only I knew how

I’d rather walk this world entirely alone,

Than feel like I’ll be forever unknown

Take your flattery with you,

Its all a sham from my view

You can take your charm as well

Theres nothing left here for you to sell

I don’t want your pretend thoughts

Just take it with you

Take away all of you

I’ve been such a hopeless fool

But your all just so damn cruel

If I have to accept a world so misleading

At least my soul will no longer be bleeding

I’d rather walk this world entirely alone,

Than feel like I’ll be forever unknown

Take your flattery with you,

Its all a sham from my view

You can take your charm as well

Theres nothing left here for you to sell

I don’t want your pretend thoughts

Just take it with you

Take away all of you

wow! Brava! This knocked it over the park! ("you're" not "your" in Second Verse Line 2). Nicely done! I much enjoyed this!

These read like song lyrics. I dig them. One question though: is the "your" in the first stanza intended to be "you're"? Nice write here.

Good catch! Yes I should have used you're. Thanks!

I don't think it matters if you are moving towards some great all knowing destination in life as long as you know exactly what you want. I am who I am, I don't tend to fit into any crowd and I don't w.. more..
