Forever

 She is standing there all alone,

Thinking of things unknown

Wandering down memory lanes,

All alone, with no one to hold.

Her smile has pain written all over it,

Her heart ready to cry out at every little chance.

She feels she is all alone in this world,

But why doesn’t she see me, standing there, right beside her?

Her tears leave a trail of moist pain on her cheeks,

But she tries to hide them with a grin, or maybe a smile on her face.

She wishes that there was someone who understood her pain,

Can’t she see tears rolling down my cheeks every time she feels sad?

She wishes she could die and leave everything behind,

But doesn’t she realize how lonely I am going to be without her?

She feels that the world is too cold a place for her,

She feels she is meant to be neglected by everyone,

But why doesn’t she see me,

My arms wide open to give her a hug full of warmth and care.

A tear drops from her cheeks on the palm of my hand,

I relish the moment, holding the greatest treasure I could have ever found.

That is when she realizes me standing right beside her,

I had been there all the while, waiting for her eyes to find me.

She looks at me and smiles,

And I marvel at the sweetest sight I had ever seen.

She is no longer standing there all alone,

Because am right beside her, for now and till forever!
