Stand By Me

Stand By Me

A Poem by Tate Morgan
"

Love immortal and unchanging devotion spans the wall Over which we go exchanging our smiles with one and all

"
Becky and I
Becky and I

We seek a kind and faithful friend

devotions sweet flower

One who will stand by till the end

lighting the darkest hour

Love immortal thoughts exchanging

devotion scales the wall

There we share our love unchanging

with smiles for one and all

Her guiding hand which proves so sound

my inner soul to see

Oh may no love that's ever found

mean more than she, to me

To have a great lifelong friend is one of the greatest and most profound experiences. I would encourage all who have not done so to try it. The answer to all who would topple your life is the unwavering devotion of a friend

That last stanza is poetic perfection. Immaculate. This whole piece is powerful and incredibly tender, you are so lucky to know love and to have been loved in this way... I enjoyed this poem very much, you're a remarkable writer, Tate. 1

So are good wives and partners through life
Beautiful sentiments of a truly committed loving friendship. Such a blessing should be for all. Oft tho people find it too much hard work and old fashioned commitment to be able to have such. It's not luck but sustenance of the heart and soul that make the bricks and mortar of truly memorable words of poetry brought forth by such obvious dedication from these two gorgeous women.
And what a picture, it shines. Thank you Tate, Rebecca and Theresa.

This says so much, and it's all so true. A lifelong friend is truly someone to be treasured. I can't imagine my life without mine. She has been to the darkest places with me, holding my hand and helping me guide this ship called life.

Such a beautiful tribute to your wife and her friend.
