Spring Love

Spring Love

A Poem by Tate Morgan
"

The desperate cries of anguish From a heart that knows no joy Feeds long upon its own regret Tossing the soul as if a toy

"
Rebecca and I

In spring lovebirds hover fancy

till morning lit by the dew

Takes back winter's heartache

restoring the love in you

The desperate cries of anguish

from a heart that knows no joy

Feeds long upon its own regret

tossing the soul as if a toy

Give to me your heartaches

lie down in the meadow green

Let go the sorrow of past loves

have rain wash the soul clean

Always to blossom in springtime

love feeds us of our dreams

Washing away the winter sorrows

from each one or so it seems

Take all of what you've been given

set aside pieces in you there-of

No broken promise of joy's embrace

can outshine a true heart in love

The birth of a new Spring have create many new opportunities and hope. The first warm days of spring bring out the dreamers and searcher for romance. The poem is very good . I like the gentle description and the beautiful ending.

Dear Tate,

This is a wonderful, lyrical piece about spring love. Again the romanticism of your soul is set free, resulting in an inspired piece. Greatly enjoyed.

Best regards,

Rick

Spring has always been fanciful to me. :D

As to what I know about love and spring is quite shallow compared to how deep this poem is. This one made me say lucky are those who have found love on Spring for they hold something so dear. The second stanza is very strong, strong to a point that came upon negatively. But in the next suceeding stanzas were reserved to become the happiest. Your imageries, just like your other poems, are exquisite. One of the few poems from you that doesn't have any distinct rhyme scheme. That made me feel quite off for a moment but then again the whole picture wasn't affected by that. :)

Good job!

I liked it. The flow was really good, but I noticed that every single line was a sentence, or was supposed to be because of periods. Not that that's entirely a bad thing, but it would have been better if it had commas or just nothing at the end because the sentence was continued in the next line. If it's written right, and I'm sure you're was, the flow won't be interrupted at all.

SPRING LOVE is like a soft flow of water traveling along the riverbed.
Loved the concept that Spring washes the soul clean & washes away
our winter sorrows.. GOOD opening verse.. Lovely!
