Spring Love

Spring Love

A Poem by Tate Morgan
"

The desperate cries of anguish From a heart that knows no joy Feeds long upon its own regret Tossing the soul as if a toy

"
Rebecca and I

In spring lovebirds hover fancy

till morning lit by the dew

Takes back winter's heartache

restoring the love in you

The desperate cries of anguish

from a heart that knows no joy

Feeds long upon its own regret

tossing the soul as if a toy

Give to me your heartaches

lie down in the meadow green

Let go the sorrow of past loves

have rain wash the soul clean

Always to blossom in springtime

love feeds us of our dreams

Washing away the winter sorrows

from each one or so it seems

Take all of what you've been given

set aside pieces in you there-of

No broken promise of joy's embrace

can outshine a true heart in love

I love the feel and flow of this one.. very realistic and holds a sense of humanity to it.. The parts I enjoyed truly the most and felt very much were:

The desperate cries of anguish.
From a heart that knows no joy.
Feeds long upon it's own regret.
Tossing the soul as if a toy.

Give to me your heartaches.
Lay down in the meadow green.
Let go the sorrow of past loves.
Have rain wash the soul clean.

I felt a sense of dispair and a true feeling of wanting to take the pain away.. even in a sense of sacrifice.. as if you would share or "take it" for them so the may experience joy and love again.. very profound and sympathetic to one close to your heart possibly.. or touching your heart! Thank you for sharing! =)

You successfully mixed fluffy images with intense gritty ones... very much the nature of love. Beautiful poem.
