Days to Remember

Days to Remember

A Poem by Tate Morgan
"

Build your dreams with greatest care Don’t think on lives great sorrowed past Create a world so wondrous That through ice and fire it will last

"

Tatertot and I

Tatertot and I sharing a life lesson

We are architects of our fate

working within constraints of time

Some mens lives do seem so blessed

while others seem riddled with crime

For each of us stack stones of life

from our yesterdays we borrow

The blocks from which we build our days

are foundations for tomorrow

Build your dreams with greatest care

don't think on life's great sorrowed past

Create a world so wondrous

that through ice and fire it will last

Your child’s future held in your hands

go from failures cold darkened din

Show your son where you are going

not the tale of where you have been

Another great poem.

Each generation should strive to teach their children better than they themselves were taught; should build up with hope for the future rather weighing it down with the disappointments from the past.

Nice role model write. This is one of your better ones.

Another point to add to this would be your children need a good role model to 'light his/her way' the first place they look to is their parent.
I loved this poem, very tastefully written.

~_~ Tate, I might have to quote you one day!

Another good poem. Very much something a parent would write, if I may be so bold. Another example of ABCB poetry*

A collection of beautifully expressed and wise words .. seems we are what we were, which varies in quality but we learn as we go along .. what we remember is often the mistakes and those are what we don't what children to make.

This line really stood out to me... Almost brought a tear to my eye. Especially as a person who has a very dark past and often have trouble getting over it myself. This poem is very hopeful and inspiring and well written, as usual.
