What is Truth

What is Truth

A Poem by Tate Morgan
"

True love seeks not itself to please for it fears no loss of station Creating ease, with every breeze Heaven grows to Hell's frustration

"

Becky and I

False love seeks of itself to please

laughing at others pain and plight

Joys in the tease, the loss of ease

wreaking Hell of Heavens respite

True love seeks not itself to please

for itself it has not a care

Creating ease, with every breeze

Heaven grows within Hell's despair

Tate Morgan
It isn't so hard to understand the differences in love and usury.
One is selfish the other selfless.

Your note is as concise an explanation of the differences between love and usury as any i have seen. Only those truly blessed to have found their one seem to understand the difference though. Like you I am among the fortunate, and thankful for my state of grace everyday

Thank you ken. Love gives it never takes. It is selfless
True love seeks not itself to please…..
Love this! This is such a beautiful poem and, it is obvious that you know the difference in true love and usury. It’s unfortunate that it takes some a long time and much heartbreak to learn the difference. Thank you for sharing this lovely piece of work. Temp

Thank you true love is giving without expectation of return
What light can dispel every shadow? Love which reaches from Heaven above to Hell below. For even demons cannot prevail. When love reigns all demons fail. A soulmate is an angel in human form.
Well written, my friend.

Thank you I am lucky my wife forgives me my failings
True love I am blessed to know you so. For when I read it in poem or prose it brings its glow. You've articulated emotion into word where the heart overrides the mind and just writes.

Tomas you are the resident scholar far as I’m concerned. And a master of metered rhyme thank you
Wow, that was an excellent and simple explanation of the difference between love and selfishness. A new go to poem when a simple reminder is needed. Thanks for sharing and letting us poor peasants in on your wisdom :) Fantastic!!

Awe thank you Karen. That was sweet. Though I am a peasant as well. We should be friends.
This is absolutely wonderful Tate! Not only is it expertly crafted and a joy to read, but the message is one that we all could only hope to achieve in this lifetime. Beautiful!

Thank you Willard So nice to hear .
Always a pleasure to review your work Tate. You always project tenderness and caring.
Love the way you used the photo of you both as a back drop to portray a love with open honesty.
False love seeks not to please, laughing at another in delight etc.
I love that verse. They say that love is in the eyes of the beholder.
Thank goodness for that. That way we may all experience that beautiful or sometimes heartache state. Thank you Tate.
