Cry me a river

Cry me a river

A Poem by Amila Jay
"

Cry me a river my poor soul to shiver

"

c
ry me a river

my poor soul to shiver
against the burns
that ravished
in my eyes
stuck like wound
in my heart
a piece of memory
in the past
relive it a thousand times
to tear my flesh apart
this soul is ripped
this soul is sin
this soul not knows the fearful rims

I believe sin is just lessons for us to be better. Few people can live a life without hurting or hurting others. Real sin is repeating the pain and damage again. The poem is strong. Type of poem that open the doors to conversation. Thank you for your outstanding poetry.

This one speaks towards the hurts and feelings of guilt left behind...to many blame the victims - EVEN the victims blame themselves...

WOW Awesome write here! How stingfully dark! You poured your soul out into this piece & I love it! We all feel pain but very few can really make you feel the depths of it! This creation you allowed me to feel along with you! Riveting Amila! Thank you for sharing this piece with us! :)

This speaks to deep remorse, it is very well written and the flow is very nice. It does relflect your culture as well which brings it more to life for me. Very thought provoking.

Such pain and anger. A blast of a poem. Amazing power and passion. Wonderful write. It forces you to think and consider your actions.

I like this as free verse because of the spontaneity of the rhymes, somehow that conveys to me a great sense of realism and a good display of emotion. Nice work.

I agree with Coyote if we never sinned how would we learn anything, your pain is deep throughout this poem, guess this is a personal piece and very beautifully penned. Time to move on and leave it behind you, keep em' coming
