A Poem by KAJ

Quirky poem

Over there is different from here,
Between the rainbow and the rain.
Smelling flowers, dodging hours.
A nickel and two quarters in change.

Round about and take it to the back.
Sturdy storm on the dusty trail.
Wind up the clock, never take stock.
In water too heavy for its pail.

A crooked smile at a pumpkin patch,
Arrows will pierce holes in the dark.
Believe in the air, wish and dare.
Your print on fresh sand leaves a mark.

Duck and hide over the nooks and crannies.
Beneath the stars and midnight sun.
Unlock the past, time runs too fast.
Set up goals and search down some fun.
