No Chance

Another old one.... I guess falling in love with your best friend is not a good thing.

He walks up
And says hello.
My heart beats quicker,
A response to my dreams,
Yet, I know the truth.
He could never like me,
He would never give me a chance.
He will never like me
As anything more than a friend.
His gleaming eyes will never look at me,
His strong arms will never hold me,
his lush lips will never meet mine.
I know i have no chance,
Yet my heart and mind
Don't seem to want to accept that.

I think all of us want a person just can't have, maybe that is why we wanted them so much. My question is, what would you do if he was interested in you? Would you believe it or wonder if he was messing with your head?

Well, I'm a sucker for the romantic things. And this poem clearly depicts the feelings of someone falling in love with their friend. I really felt like I was there when I was reading it.
