If

If

A Chapter by Luna

If I looked different,
Would you give me a chance?
If I acted different,
Would you want to be more than friends?
If I was nicer,
Would you think of me more?
If I cleaned up my act,
Would you  at least give me a glance?
If you could see my feeling,
Would you acknowledge them?
If I was who I  truly am around you,
Would you embrace the true me?
If I told you I loved you,
Would you love me in return?

So many questions. The what if's in a life leave us wishing. I believe we must be what we truly are. Or one day we will awake not liking what we see in the mirror. A excellent poem.

If hearts could dance, would life be still?
If souls could speak, would summers chill?
If love knew all, would all fulfill?
If life would have it so, one will!
