Summer Love

Summer Love

A Chapter by Luna

June.
Lazy days on the beach,
The sea and sand the only things around us.
Embraces,
Kisses,
Love.

June turns to July.
The beach is our regular destination.
The beauty of the sun on your eyes,
The feel of your strong chest,
Your arms wrapped around me.
We sneak into the beach house,
Wrapped in each others' arms.

July turns to August.
People begin to pack,
Begin to leave,
We have more privacy on the beach,
The fish in the sea the only witnesses to our love.

August turns to September.
I walk to the beach house.
You're packing your car up,
Climbing into the driver's seat,
And driving away,
Not even glancing back.
I stand in the sand,
Wind whipping my golden hair,
My white dress clinging to my body.

You are gone
Though your memories live on.
Memories of our summer love.
I have no regrets,
Only happiness that I met a great guy like you.

Those good day of summer and being young. A beautiful poem. I like the story and the positive ending. A excellent poem.

Wonderful memories; a fishbowl of emotions, clearly seen through the transparent glass of the not-so-distant history. Brings back an ocean of emotions. Nice!
