The Sounds of Spring

The Sounds of Spring

A Poem by Briana O'Connor

The wind…

It dances,

Granting kisses

To everyone it passes.

The birds…

They sing

Beatiful songs

For all to dance to.

The crickets…

They play

Violins made of limbs

Joining the owl’s drum.

The children…

They laugh,

Joyful of nature,

The rebirth of playtime.

The rain...

It pitters,

Pattering on pavement

Nursing the world to health.

The spring…

It’s vocal,

Sending messages

Of a new beginning.

You have created a charming & quite beautiful ode to spring, great timing;
The wind…
It dances,
Granting kisses
To everyone it passes.
Great visual in every word; you built each stanza so well making me think of what's to come, a new beginning: I gasped when I read the first stanza; seeing the bluebirds. I love it. Thank you. Dale

You're welcome pretty girl (I Could be your Mother)! It is beautiful Briana.
The tone of music`s found in your poetry!

Spring`s kinda beautiful season that brings loving souls together, & gives `em chance to get danced upon its breeze. Here you give a tribute to spring wonderfully.. through words. Nice imagery!

This was gorgeous. I really enjoyed the crickets line and how you make the spring a symphony of nature's music.

Aw. Wind kisses :) :)
"Violins made of limbs" sounds horrific out of context! :0
I like the rain nursing the world to health.

Lol ty for your review :D
I live in Florida. We've about 8 months of summer and four months of mild winter, no spring. Those are some pretty birds

Lol I wouldn't last in florida...granted I wouldn't last anywhere. I hate the heat and the cold!
First I like birds, second the photo is astonishingly vibrant and beautiful and it complimented the piece .
I like these short simple lines. Somehow you have mastered simplicity in expressing your words through nature.
The wind blows and causes rustles among the leaves sort of kissing and hugging. Its cool breeze cause man and animals to cuddle closer together.
The birds always have a song to sing. If they have bills to pay would they still come up with such a lovely melodious lullabies ?
The crickets playing violins and cicadas playing harmonica . Such an imagination
The children of course would surely appreciate the beauty around them with such humility and gratitude
The rain really refreshes the world . Natures natural sprinkles. You really nailed the last stanza with the season of Spring. I have some few suggestions. You uses the word " dance " twice. On second and last stanza. I'll PM the suggestion to your inbox ....I truly love this piece of yours.
