Vitality of a Leaf

answer to leaf challenge

In the wind they fly without destination,

Dancing with a spirit so free and simplistic.

Resting on grasslands and cobblestone paths,

Piling like hilltops of kaleidoscopic shades.

Beaming tones of auburn, glistening with gold,

They showcase a rainbow of colors so pure.

Their texture spreads music beneath wandering feet,

Crunching with a pulse to the drumming of a snare.

These beauties of nature, so careless to troubles,

Falling from trees with new journeys each moment.

hi... I really like this piece... I do have a suggestion although you know how you want it to read.. As I read it out loud... the first line: In the wind they fly without a destination,.... the word (a) makes it pause or bumpy and if you omit it... it flows really nice.. like :In the wind they fly without destination,... but its just a suggestion... I applaud your ability...

i LOVE IT. Thought it was beautiful. Just what I needed. Went outside a moment ago, to find leaves, for a wreath. But the beautiful colors are up high.
Their texture spreads music beneath wandering feet,
Crunching with a pulse to the drumming of a snare.
The descriptions are delightful. I jumped this dawn, walked on the front porch for coffee and leafs crushed beneath my feet; (a snake had been at the edge of our porch last yr) and awhile ago, they were falling like snow with the wind blowing. Thank you. I love nature.
