Hey, heartbreaker!

Hey, heartbreaker!

A Poem by Azure Montessa (Blue)
"

Thank you...

"

Hey, heartbreaker,

thank you for your attention.

I must have been the loveliest

in the entire population

that you chose to practice

your mastered art on me.

Flirtation 101:

Topic? Treachery.

Thank you for your flatteries.

It’s so generous of you

to exaggerate my beauty,

tell me, what else is new?

Drop the lousy lines

a lover has to tell.

In case you haven’t heard,

liars rot in hell.

Thank you for your poems,

I said I like them so.

But honey, I was joking.

Did you not even know?

Careless comma splices

and awful spelling errors.

Why are you even one

of world’s published authors?

Hey, heartbreaker,

thank you for your lies.

You are a living proof

that devils do disguise.

I could have kicked your balls

to deprive you pleasures in bed.

But see, I’ve always cared for you

so I wrote this poem instead.

Thanks for blessing us with this amazing poem. It reminds me of my "Never trust a poet" poem. I'd rather receive a poem like this than being kicked on my balls.

Thanks again for sharing Blue.

Anything you might say is preferable to a kick in the balls. I am telling you girl that I have been down that road b4!
Oh No, not again!
How about I just tell the truth as I might see it? Cute pic! Honestly! And a nice poem to boot!

Very good poem.i can feel the passion you put into the poem.also it shows how there are people who act like they love or are friends with you but they speak with a forked tongue and only use people.i like the word you used to compare him to a person who seems like they care but is actually the devil in disguise.

Thank you so much, Frieda!
Haha! You're funny here, sis, but I admire how strong you are to say those words to that man who was the apple of your eyes just "yesterday". LOL

I will be honest to you here and I hope you'll understand what I mean. I always want to give these words which I have taken from other concerned citizens here when I was new here like you.

Defense mechanism as I see it - sour grapes. What else would one do but to stand with her head held high? But one thing you should bear in mind was that it's not only one's fault here. You allowed him to enter into your world.

You also played here, aren't you?
You both played the game, my dear, so don't get mad. LOL

But I do hope he'll read this and strike him straight to the heart. I hate men like that. Women must be respected.

You will discover more things in this "ocean" as you sail...

Not at all. I find it absolutely endearing to have that sister intervention. Haha.

Very fluid write with good rhyming and great vitriol. The last stanza brought a lighter feel to this and made me smile.

Wow, let 'em have it! Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned! It reminded me of Pat Benatar's 'Heartbreaker'. A nice way to rave and vent.

I usually bottle up my anger inside me but poetry always offer an escape. Thanks, Eddie.
