A Poem by Ayushi Jha

Inspired from the story of Trojan war

Menelaus, I am in Greece
but am Helen of Troy.
Helen of him
shall take more Trojans high.
Abduct or Seduct?
It was him, Or I?
Shivering thoughts
were grouching your pride;
The king had no incline.
A king, no shrine.
Now calm your wonder.
These deaths were mine.
I made them kill,
burn their blood dry.
Resting thoughts,
I blew your sigh.

Paris, take me.
Will I go?
My king, their king
and a queen they own.
In and out or within the line.
My plight they fragranced floral,
I smiled.
A step to you,
felt as devil as divine.
A step in you,
was devil, was divine.
Traded for your blood,
I was flowing behind.
If not, this dream knitted,
might have lived out of blind.

To home, not Troy.
Troy of blood and wine.
There flowers etched scars,
here love steeps knives.
To home, not Troy.
Home of burns on ice.
Here, touch my evil love
and I shall take more Trojans high

"touch my evil love"

much more universal than just to this surely happens often in relationships...there is that deceit done to win...and sometimes the winners are actually the losers in the end.

nice use of that story.
